Remix Songs

A remix song refers to an alternative version of a song that is created from the original version of the song. The alternations in the remix song may be in the music as well as lyrics of the song. For creating a remix song, a music composer needs to use audio mixing for composing an alternate master recording of a song. He may need to do many activities like adding or subtracting elements, or make changes in the pitch, tempo, equalization, dynamics, playing time, or any other aspect of the musical components. Some of the remix song includes considerable changes to the original song while others simply create another version of an album with emphasis on the lead singer’s voice.

Remix SongsThere are many reasons for remixing the songs such as providing a original popular old song a second chance at club play or at radio, creating a surround or stereo sound version of a recording, improving the fidelity of an older recording, changing a song to suit a specific music genre and altering a song for creative purposes.

You can create a Remix song by following the few easy steps. You need to select the song which you would like to remix. The song may be a mixed down track completely or it may be in form of file where all the tracks are in their original forms. You need to import the audio into the recording program. In case of mixed down track, you will see a one line of audio and in case of original project, you will see all the tracks. You are required to set the tempo and key for the remix. In case the song is not consistent, you are required to turn the program’s metronome on, listen to determine the point where the track begins to turn away from the tempo, and then cut the track in half followed by moving the listing piece till it gets back on tempo.

By following the above procedure, you can select the pieces of the song you like and after selecting the pieces; you can include new elements and effects, by changing the key and the tempo.
